Yep, I’ve been working on this project for a long time and finally decided to put it out there. Basically, it’s a joke book (some of my favorites) with Bible lessons connected to each one of them. What I’ve discovered working with grandparents (in the Legacy Coalition) is that many grandparents have a hard time finding reading material (that they can read to their grandkids) that isn’t boring or over their heads. So, now there is Seriously! 100 Laugh Out Loud Stories that Teach Bible Truths.
As I mentioned, some of my favorites jokes are in this book. I didn’t write the jokes. I collected them over the years and have used them in youth talks, seminars and other teaching and speaking opportunities. In this book, I tie each one to a Bible truth and that is what makes this book unique. It’s very similar to the “Hot Illustrations for Youth Talks” series that wrote for Youth Specialties. Like those books, I’ve included a topical index so that you can use these illustrations to enhance your teaching or speaking.
This is the first time I’ve used AI for any of my writing. Actually, I didn’t use AI for the writing, just the artwork. Each story has a cartoon illustration that was done by either Copilot or ChapGPT. Those cartoons make the book more interesting and colorful, for sure.
