- Parenting by the Book by John Rosemond (Howard Books 2007) Actually, any John Rosemond book is a good book on parenting.
- Faith Begins at Home by Mark Holmen (Regal Books 2005)
- Confident Parenting by Jim Burns (Bethany House 2006)
- Raising Self-Reliant Children in a Self-Indulgent World by H. Stephen Glenn (Prima Press 1989)
- Parenting Isn’t For Cowards by James Dobson (Word 1987)
- Raising Responsible Kids by Jay Kesler (Wolgemuth-Hyatt 1991) This book was also published as Raising Emotionally Healthy Teenagers (Word 1998)
- Ties that Stress by David Elkind (Harvard Univ. Press 1994) Elkind’s All Grown Up and No Place to Go (Addison-Wesley 1994) is also a classic.
- Reconnect by Al Menconi (Menconi Ministries 2009)
- Revolutionary Parenting by George Barna (Regal Books 2007)
- The Space Between by Walt Mueller (Zondervan 2008)
