MIKE BUB

  • From Scottsdale, Arizona. Lives in Nashville.
  • 1985, formed Weary Hearts band with Ron Block, Eric Uglum and Butch Baldassari. Played bass.
  • 1991-1992, played banjo with Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time.
  • 1992-2005, played bass with the Del McCoury band.
  • 1996, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2005, won IBMA award for Bass Player of the Year.
  • He often performs with “The Sidemen,” a group that performs on Tuesday nights at Nashville’s Station Inn.
  • 2006, joined the Dale Ann Bradley band.
  • 2008, joined Peter Rowan and Tony Rice.
  • 2012, joined Todd Grebe and Cold Country.
  • 2012, received the first IBMA Momentum Award for Mentor of the Year.
